Prep: Three-year varsity letter winner… Was the quarterback and team captain in high school… Top individual performance was passing for 330 yards with five touchdowns while only playing the first two quarters against Addison… Played varsity baseball all four years and ran indoor track his freshman year… Was a two-year team captain and two-time all-conference honoree in baseball and was an all-area football player and one-year team captain on the gridiron… The last play of his high school football career was a 60-yard touchdown pass to his best friend Sam Schuyler.
 
Personal: Majoring in finance… Son of Rob Spang… Has four brothers – Leydon, Ronan, Dominic and Joseph – and three sisters – Miriam, Caroline and Ava… Hobbies include weight lifting and listening to music… Is a student senator at Valpo… Is a Christ College (honors college) student at Valpo.
