Andrew Whitt head shot

Andrew Whitt

Andrew Whitt joined the Valpo women's basketball program in the summer of 2024 and enters his second year on staff as an assistant coach - his first under Courtney Boyd.

With Whitt on staff in 2024-25, the Beacons had an eight-win improvement from the previous season and jumped 84 spots in the NET rankings. He worked primarily on the defensive side of the ball, where Valpo improved its scoring defense by over five points per game despite playing at a faster pace than the previous season.

Whitt enters the collegiate coaching ranks for the first time with the Beacons, coming from a prep background. Most recently, he spent two seasons as the head girl's basketball coach at Hilliard Bradley H.S.

Prior to that, Whitt served as an assistant coach for two years at Lancaster H.S. and as an assistant coach for two seasons at Albany Alexander H.S. Outside of the school ranks, he also spent the last three years as the co-director of the Ohio Future Girls AAU program, coaching within the program as well.

Whitt played one season of collegiate basketball at Ohio Christian University before transferring to Ohio University, where he graduated with his bachelor's degree in political science and history. He went on to earn a master's in teaching from Muskingum University.
