Sheahen Dowling joined the Valpo women's basketball coaching staff as a graduate assistant entering the 2021-22 season.

Dowling, a native of Chicago, comes to Valpo following a four-year career at Florida Gulf Coast. Dowling appeared in 95 games for the Eagles, tied for 18th on the program's career games played chart.

In Dowling's four seasons at FGCU, the Eagles posted a 115-16 overall record, captured four ASUN regular season titles and claimed all three ASUN tournaments which were contested. They advanced to all three NCAA Tournaments which were contested and earned an NCAA Tournament over Mizzou in 2018.

Dowling graduated from Florida Gulf Coast University in 2021 with a bachelor's degree in health sciences.
