How It Happened
- Valpo opened the day, contested in the best-of-seven baker format, against #20 Wright State. The Beacons and Raiders traded victories through the first four games, with WSU claiming game four despite Valpo posting a 200 game. WSU went on to win games five and six as the Beacons fell 4-2.
- The Beacons' next bracket matchup came against #12 Duquesne. Valpo took games one and four, the latter thanks to a 210 game, to stand level with the Dukes through four games, but much like the day's opener, Duquesne took games five and six to finish off a 4-2 decision.
- The loss dropped Valpo into a matchup with #RV Mercyhurst for 11th place, and the Beacons made quick work of the Lakers in a 4-0 sweep, averaging 202.3 over the four games — highlighted by a 233 effort in game two.
