The Valpo bowling team rose three spots to #18 in the December iteration of the National Tenpin Coaches Association top-25 poll.
 
The Beacons moved up the rankings thanks to strong performances in their four fall semester tournaments. Valpo posted a 30-20 record over its four competitions, highlighted by a second-place finish in its Windy City Classic and a tournament title at McKendree's Bearcat Invitational to close out the semester. The win at McKendree was just the sixth tournament title in program history and the first in a field which featured nationally-ranked teams since November 2011, while the runner-up finish at its home tournament was just the second in program history.
 
The #18 ranking is Valpo's best in the NTCA poll since checking in at #17 in the March 2024 poll. Prior to that, you have to go back to the 2015-16 season for the last time Valpo was ranked this high.
