Valpo Set to Host MVC Tennis Championship This Weekend

The Valparaiso University Department of Athletics is set to host the 2025 Missouri Valley Conference Tennis Championship, which will take place this weekend on Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Weather permitting, matches will occur outdoors at the Valpo Tennis Complex on campus, or if weather does not cooperate, matches will move indoors to The Courts of Northwest Indiana.

Six teams will compete for the 2025 MVC title and an automatic NCAA Tournament berth. Live scoring will be available via StatBroadcast with links to live scoring along with the match schedule available below. The top six teams from the regular-season standings qualified for the tournament, led by undefeated regular-season champion and defending MVC Tournament champion Murray State. Two quarterfinal matches will take place on Friday prior to two semifinal matches on Saturday and the title match on Sunday. The tennis schedule page on ValpoAthletics.com will be updated with the latest on matchups, locations and PDF results throughout the tournament.

The matches are free and open to the public. If the matches occur outdoors on campus, spectators are encouraged to utilize Lots 14 and 15 for parking. Spectator restrooms are located at the nearby Harre Union. If the matches on Saturday take place outdoors, Gridiron Grill food truck will be on hand, giving attendees the opportunity to purchase delicious food items.

This marks the first time Valpo has hosted the team tennis championship since joining The Valley. The program did host the MVC Individual Championships in Fall 2021. Valpo has hosted MVC Championship events in women's golf, cross country, track & field, soccer and tennis since joining the league.
