Valparaiso University baseball redshirt senior
Kade Reinertson (Huxley, Iowa / Ballard Community) was recognized by the Missouri Valley Conference this week by earning Valpo's State Farm MVC Good Neighbor Award for the spring season.

A member of MVC Academic Honor Roll and recipient of Valparaiso University Presidential Academic Honors, Reinertson earned the Valparaiso University Dean's Award by having the highest cumulative GPA among student-athletes in the graduate college this year.

Reinertson's community service activities include gift wrapping with Boys and Girls Club of Northwest Indiana, volunteering with Special Olympics Iowa, serving on the clean-up crew after Iowa State football games with his church group and helping support mental health with Dam Worth It organization and Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC). He brought former Major League Baseball player Drew Robinson to Valparaiso University to speak about the importance of mental health. Reinertson also hosted free baseball camps that teach respect, passion and joy for the game.
