Valpo Announces 2025-26 Bowling Schedule

The Valpo bowling team will take to the lanes eight times during the 2025-26 regular season, as second-year head coach John Martin announced the schedule for the upcoming season today.

The Beacons open the season with Youngstown State's Penguin Classic in Struthers, Ohio Oct. 17-19 for the fourth straight season, and follow the next weekend with their first appearance at Destination Orlando, hosted by Sacred Heart in Orlando, Fla. Oct. 24-26.

Valpo's home tournament will be contested Oct. 31-Nov. 2, has moved to River Rand Bowl in Des Plaines, Ill. and has been rebranded as the Windy City Classic. The Beacons close the fall semester Nov. 14-16 at McKendree's Bearcat Invitational in Fairview Heights, Ill., their first appearance at McKendree's home tournament since 2019-20.

Valpo opens the 2026 calendar year Jan. 30-Feb. 1 with its second straight appearance at Maryville's Saints Invitational in St. Louis, and turns its eyes to Lockport, Ill. for Lewis' Flyer Classic Feb. 6-8, its sixth consecutive appearance at that tournament.

The Beacons close out a stretch of three tournaments in as many weekends Feb. 14-15 with their first appearance at Augustana's Viking Classic in Bettendorf, Iowa. The regular season wraps up as Valpo returns to Vanderbilt's Music City Classic in Smyrna, Tenn. March 6-8.

Postseason action at the Conference USA Championship takes place in Harahan, La. March 18-22, with the tournament champion earning the conference's automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament. NCAA regionals will take place April 3-4, with the NCAA National Championship contested in Parma Heights, Ohio April 10-11.

Valpo is coming off a 2024-25 campaign in which it finished the season ranked #24 nationally and boasted the second-best single-season scoring average in program history. The Beacons return 10 bowlers from last year's squad and add four newcomers to the mix this season.
