Valparaiso University women's golf senior
Anna Fay (Ada, Mich. / Forest Hills) was recognized by the Missouri Valley Conference on Wednesday as she was tabbed to the league's Scholar-Athlete Second Team.
Fay, who owns a perfect 4.0 cumulative grade point average in bioengineering, finished with a career scoring average of 81.37 that ranks fifth in program history. She posted an 81.85 season scoring average while golfing all 26 rounds over 10 tournaments.
Fay turned in a season low of 76 on three occasions including the final round of the MVC Championship. She earned the Valparaiso University Laurel Award, presented to the graduating senior student-athlete with the highest cumulative grade point average, and the Dean's List Award from the College of Engineering. Fay achieved the "Top of the Class" Award presented to graduating seniors with a 3.9 or better cumulative GPA as well, and received Presidential Academic Honors.
Fay was also named to the MVC Scholar-Athlete Second Team in 2023-24 and featured in the MVC Scholar-Athlete Spotlight this year. She is planning to attend Marquette University for four more years of school before becoming a dentist. A member of sorority on campus, Fay organized a service project for the women's golf team, making blankets and putting together care packages for children at the local foster care home.
