Spencer Warfield (Fullerton, Calif. / Servite) and redshirt sophomore
Ryan Kruse (Detroit, Mich. / U of D Jesuit) have achieved College Sports Communicators Academic All-District honors, as announced on Tuesday.
Warfield owns a 3.73 cumulative grade point average in business management, while Kruse possesses a 3.65 with an individualized major. Warfield, the team's starting centerfielder, appeared in 48 games, all starts, while Kruse logged 30 2/3 innings in 21 games out of the Beacon bullpen.
To be eligible for CSC Academic All-District recognition, student-athletes must be at least a sophomore academically and athletically with at least a 3.50 cumulative GPA. Baseball position players must have played at least 90 percent or started at least 66 percent of the team's games, while pitchers must have made at least 17 appearances or pitched at least 35 innings.
