The Valpo women's basketball team placed four players on the Missouri Valley Conference Scholar-Athlete Team, as
Mikayla Huffine (Rockford, Ill./Rockford Lutheran [Quincy/Iowa Western C.C.]),
Milana Nenadic (Kitchener, Ontario/Cameron Heights [Idaho State/Maine]),
Kennedy Sproule (Niverville, Manitoba/Churchill [Bay College]) and
Kamryn Winch (Bonne Terre, Mo./North County [Maryville]) were recognized for their work in the classroom.
Nenadic owns a 3.61 GPA as she works towards a sports administration master's degree, Huffine owns a 3.51 GPA as an organizational leadership major, Winch has a 3.86 GPA as an elementary education major and Sproule carries a 3.70 GPA as a psychology major.
MVC Scholar-Athlete Team honorees must carry at least a 3.5 cumulative GPA and must be at least a sophomore in academic and athletic standings. On the court, they must have competed in at least 75% of the team's games or started at least 50% of the games.
