Valparaiso University women's golf senior
Taylor Skibinski (Michigan City, Ind. / Michigan City) polished off her first career top-10 finish, turning in the highest performance on the leaderboard by any Beacon since the 2022-2023 campaign with her showing at Chicago State's Windy City Classic Invitational, which concluded on Tuesday at Harborside International Golf Club in Chicago.
How It Happened
- Skibinski led the team for the second consecutive round, this time turning in an 81 to finish the event with a 36-hole score of 158, putting her in a tie for ninth. She birdied the 13th hole on Tuesday.
- Freshman Katie Estridge (Biloxi, Miss. / Biloxi) was second on the team both in the round and the tournament as she carded an 85 on Tuesday, finishing the event at 166, placing 23rd in the 42-player field.
- As a team, Valpo stroked a 339 on Tuesday to finish the tourney at 664. The squad was sixth of eighth, beating Christian Brothers and Western Illinois.
- UIC won the tournament at 615 and two Flames shared medalist honors with Camille Rosier and Alejandra Ereno both at 149 (+5).
